Special Tools:
· 83mm hole saw
· Step drill
· Air hacksaw
1 Remove:
· RHS front wheel arch liner.
· Air inlet ducting.
· Air cleaner assembly .
· Air cleaner entry duct by drilling out rivets.
2 Tape the template to the upper rear corner of the right hand guard. With a felt tip pen, mark out all holes. Remove the template.
3 Drill a 4mm pilot hole for each hole position. Using an 83mm hole saw, cut out the main holes for the Snorkel snout. Use an air hack saw to cut away the remaining section of panel between the two holes. Drill the remaining 5 mounting holes to (16=>10)mm using a step drill. Deburr and paint all holes.
4 Install mounting studs and upper mounting bracket to the Snorkel body. Position Snorkel on guard and mark out around the outside edge of the upper mounting bracket.
5 Remove Snorkel body from vehicle and remove upper mounting bracket. Position upper mounting bracket on 'A' pillar. With a felt tip pen, mark the four mounting holes. Drill a 4mm pilot hole for each hole position, then drill to 8mm. Deburr and paint holes. Insert plastic inserts and fasten upper mounting bracket to 'A' pillar.
6 Install Snorkel body to guard and fasten using the necessary hardware. Slide the connecting hose over the connecting duct with hose clamps in position. Install the connecting duct through the inner guard. Smear silicone around the end of the connecting duct and re-install air cleaner assembly. Fit connecting duct into air cleaner housing. Slide connecting hose over Snorkel snout and fasten hose clamps.
7 With the connecting duct in position drill a 2mm hole through the air cleaner housing and connecting duct (refer drawing) and install Item No. 8.
8 Refit RHS front wheel arch liner.
9 Install air ram to Snorkel body and fasten.
